In this session, we will discuss various models of directly observed therapy to optimize adherence to treatment and prophylactic antiretrovirals for pregnant women living with or at substantial risk of acquiring HIV.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:

  • Describe the scope of adherence challenges faced by pregnant and postpartum women prescribed antiretroviral therapy and PrEP,
  • Explain the role of directly-observed therapy for pregnant and postpartum women prescribed antiretroviral therapy and PrEP,
  • Consider how to incorporate models of directly observed therapy in their own settings.
