Mr. Knoble has been doing HIV/STD/HVC testing work in San Francisco since 1991 with a focus on gay and bisexual men, transgender females and people who inject drugs. Mr. Knoble is a California HIV State Certified Trainer charged with training all new test counselors. Within this role, he coordinates and oversees a team of health workers to implement and evaluate the California State HIV Basic Counselor Training and to develop materials. His efforts have raised awareness around testing quality assurance issues throughout California. Locally, he is a program liaison for community testing sites, the microbiology lab and the Health Department. Mr. Knoble has a wealth of experience working with providers struggling to adapt to the constantly changing HIV prevention landscape. Mr Knoble has been working with CBOs that provide HIV testing to do COVID-19 Case Investigation and Contact Tracing. The work is using the strength of HIV community work address COVID-19. This is adding to San Francisco's successful of responding to COVID and keeping CBOs a float.
