Introduction to Academic Detailing 2022

Overview: 

This webinar was recorded on December 7, 2022 in partnership with NaRCAD and hosted by getSFcba. The topic presented was an introduction to academic detailing for high-impact HIV prevention. The getSFcba team also announced the upcoming 6th Annual Public Health Detailing Institute with a focus on syndemics, scheduled for March 29-31, 2023.

Academic detailing, also known as public health detailing, is an evidence-based approach to encourage clinical practice change through brief, educational, one-on-one provider visits.

Learning Objectives:

  • The goals of Academic Detailing including bridging the gap between science and practice
  • Building relationships and communicating with providers, including the steps of a one-on-one provider visit
  • How to apply Academic Detailing to HIV Prevention and resources available from NaRCAD to support continuous learning
