This presentation is designed to provide an overview of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Public Health Detailing Program for PrEP and PEP. This presentation describes the context of the HIV epidemic, and the prevention and care continuum in New York City with a focus on priority populations and the justification for choosing detailing as a strategy to expand the provision of PrEP and PEP. The presenter reviews the design, staffing, creation of key messages, training of staff, and development of toolkits and materials. The presenter also summarizes how New York City identified target providers, data collection, and evaluation methods.
