Utah HIV PrEP & PEP Institute
getSFcba is proud to be co-hosting this exciting hybrid in-person and virtual event with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. The Utah HIV PrEP & PEP Institute will bring together public health, clinicians, pharmacists, and community partners to discuss the latest on providing and expanding PrEP and PEP services in Utah. Admission to the event is free. A light breakfast and a boxed lunch will be available. Continuing education credits will also be offered.
Agenda items include:
- Review Utah’s plan to end the HIV epidemic and identify gaps in PrEP access among priority populations
- Describe updates to the CDC PrEP guidelines, including eligibility criteria, safety monitoring, on-demand use, and long-acting formulations
- Identify strategies to facilitate PrEP uptake, including methods to finance PrEP care and deliver culturally responsive, trauma informed services
- Devise organizational PrEP implementation action plans, with a focus on pharmacy-delivered PrE}P.
